About Us

The Vermont Chamber of Commerce represents 1,500 businesses; a collective voice from Newport to Bennington, Vergennes to Groton, and every part of the state.  In business since 1912, we are the largest state-wide private, non-profit business organization representing nearly every sector of the state's corporate/hospitality community-- from the smallest local entrepreneurs to some of the largest corporations in the world.

Our mission is to create an economic climate conducive to business growth and the preservation of the Vermont quality of life.  We do this by helping our members in four key areas: Networking, Advocacy, Marketing and Education.

The Vermont Chamber hosts EXPO, the largest trade show in Northern New England, and other exciting networking events for all sectors, and actively lobbies for the business community at the State House in Montpelier.  The Vermont Chamber produces three major tourism publications annually and hosts a site for travelers at VisitVT.com, as well as the VisitVT Facebook page. These opportunities provide marketing opportunities to reach potential visitors nationally and around the world.    The Vermont Chamber organizes ServSafe food safety certification classes and operates a webinar series to promote businesses and educate members.
