VAAA Event: Sensors, Electronics and Robotics
Sensors, Electronics and Robotics: Market opportunities in Aerospace, Aviation, Medical & Defense Industries by the Vermont Chamber
The Vermont Chamber's Aerospace and Aviation Association (VAAA) held its second quarterly VAAA Event of 2011 on Wednesday, June 15th, 2011 at Heritage Aviation.
Sponsored by Liquid Measurement Systems and underwritten by the Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center (VTPTAC), this high-profile event featured and showcased sensors, electronics and robotics as additional, high-growth sectors and market opportunities for Vermont's economy and Vermont Chamber members, as well as an impressive lineup of speakers who discussed supply chain and sourcing opportunities in the aerospace, aviation, medical and defense industries, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). In a preliminary review, the U.S. Air Force considers the Vermont Air National Guard, based in Burlington, VT, as one of two “preferred alternatives” for operational bases for the new stealth, supersonic, multi-role fighter.
This high profile event was attended by 160 people from over 100 companies and state and federal government agencies, as well as foreign dignitaries, including Macedonian Ambassador Jolevski.
Prior to the event, and, to inform and educate its members on registration and compliance requirements, the Vermont Chamber hosted an Introduction to International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) Seminar presented by The Law Offices of Aaron Melville, Network Performance, Inc., and TEAM ITAR Consulting.
These events are made possible by the dedicated and financial support of members and sponsors of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
