  • BetsyBetsy Bishop, President of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce

    Betsy Bishop leads the lobbying team focusing on health care, tax and economic development policy. She has advocated for Vermont Chamber members in the State House for 10 years, initially as the Vice President of Government Affairs in the 90's and now as President. Previously, Betsy served in the Douglas Administration for seven years, leading the Governor's policy and legislative team as Deputy Chief of Staff and then as Commissioner of Economic Development. She also served on Governor Douglas' 2002 transition team. Prior to that work, Betsy launched her own public affairs company which provided federal grassroots support and advocated for businesses in the state legislative and regulatory arenas. Betsy grew up in Vermont, graduated from Marietta College in Ohio, and worked at the Sichuan Institute of Finance and Economics in China. She lives in East Montpelier.   • VickyVicky Tebbetts, Senior Vice President

    Vicky Tebbetts heads up the Vermont Chamber’s tourism division. She represents Vermont’s hospitality industry at the State House, and advocates on behalf of our members on a federal level through the Vermont Chamber's partnerships with the National Restaurant Association and American Hotel and Lodging Association. Vicky also holds a seat on the Travel Recreation Council, the governor-appointed body that oversees the activities of the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing. She is also the President of the Vermont Attractions Association, Chair of the Vermont Byways Council, and Chair of the Vermont Travel Industry Conference Board of Directors. Having held various positions at the Vermont Chamber over the past 11 years, Vicky is a licensed attorney with a JD and a Masters from Vermont Law School. She lives in Cabot.   • ChrisChris Carrigan, Vice President of Business Development 

    Chris Carrigan works with businesses throughout the state as the Vermont Chamber's Vice President of Business Development. In that capacity he not only leads the membership team and delivers benefits, but also advocates for legislation that promotes growth and job creation in the manufacturing industries with a focus on aviation. Chris also manages the Vermont Aerospace and Aviation Association (VAAA). Prior to his work with the Vermont Chamber, Chris spent 14 years working in Boston in marketing and technology.   • [image]Karen Ballard, Program Director, Vermont Tourism Network

    Karen manages the Vermont Tourism Network, a Vermont Chamber program focused on welcoming groups and motorcoach tours to participating member properties. Karen produces the print and web versions of the Packaged Tour Manual and attends numerous industry conferences representing Vermont Chamber members that participate in this program. Karen has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of sales, marketing and promotion and previously represented the Vermont Chamber in hospitality and tourism membership development. She and her husband live in Warren and love taking in Vermont’s scenic beauty by motorcycle and enjoy snowshoeing, hiking and our great local food products.   • June June Dobbins, Director of Membership

    June Dobbins recruits new members and helps them leverage Vermont Chamber benefits to achieve growth for their businesses. She joined the Vermont Chamber in 2008 and has over 20 years’ experience in manufacturing/industrial sales.   • Ellen Ellen Dube, Director of Events

    Ellen Dube manages the planning and producing of all Vermont Chamber annual events including the Vermont Chamber Business and Industry EXPO; the Vermont Chamber Hospitality Gala; the Vermont Chamber Citizen of the Year Award; the Vermont Chamber Legislative Luncheon; and the Vermont Chamber Taste of Vermont Legislative Reception. Dube previously directed the Vermont Chamber’s group tour marketing program, Vermont Tourism Network. Prior to her work at the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Dube coordinated international tourism programs for Discover New England.   • Dana Dana Eidsness, Director of International Business

    Dana Eidsness manages the Vermont Chamber’s international program and fulfills the partnership with the Vermont Global Trade Partnership in the Vermont Agency of Commerce & Community Development with projects under the SBA State Export Promotion Grant (STEP). Dana has 20 years of experience in the international business development, trade and policy area. Dana holds a B.A. in International Studies, with a minor in International Business and emphasis on Chinese language and culture from Dominican University in San Rafael, CA. She completed two years of study at World College West (now Presidio World College in San Francisco) in the International Service and Development Program.     Shannon Wilson coordinates the Vermont Chamber’s financial operations and administers the VACE Insurance Program offered by all chambers in Vermont. Prior to joining the Vermont Chamber, Shannon worked for several organizations and financial institutions, bringing with her several years of accounting and financial management experience. She graduated from St. Lawrence University and holds a MBA from the University of Vermont. Shannon grew up in Central Vermont where she now resides with her husband and two young daughters.     Eric Scharnberg oversees the Vermont Chamber's Information Technology needs and manages all of their websites.  He graduated from Johnson State College and has 13 years of experience in non-profit management, as well as 8 years of experience in web development and GIS mapping as a municipal planner.
